This print was originally in color and it was a reductive linocut print I spent a long time editioning it at The Print Making Workshop. I signed and numbered all of the prints and put them in a black corrugated portfolio box. Instead of riding my bike I took the subway to carry my prints home. It was getting late I remember being cold and tired as I waited for the 6 train uptown to arrive. I set my portfolio box down on the subway platform and waited for the train to arrive. When I got on the train my heart sank. I forgot my artwork! I jumped off the train at the next stop and took it one stop back. The portfolio box was gone. I never found my “Planting Seeds Planting Tears” prints. I made this print based on the lost reductive color print that is lives in my memory.
